Sustain Charlotte has been working in partnership with the West Boulevard Neighborhood Coalition to mobilize neighborhood residents to advocate for safer streets.  We share the residents' growing concern about the high incidence of speeding, driver inattention, collisions between cars and pedestrians and cyclists, and lack of safe places to cross West Boulevard.  

We offer technical assistance and a platform to make the transportation obstacles that West Boulevard residents face every day public.  We have also helped mobilize citizens for CDOT workshops and walking audits as part of the West Boulevard Corridor Study.  This study will review and assess conditions for pedestrians, bicycles, and drivers between Camden Road and Billy Graham Parkway.
