"It is deeply important for people to begin making changes towards a more sustainable, resilient future.  For me to start helping others make this change I need to be a part of a group that will assist me to do so." - Bess Miller

Did you know that an average of 100 people move to Mecklenburg County every day, and we’re projected to add an additional one million residents by 2030?  With this tremendous growth comes the potential for serious threats to our sustainability and quality of life and YOU can help ensure that doesn't happen by becoming a member.

As a hyperlocal charitable nonprofit with no national affiliate, we depend on the financial support of local residents like you to help us fund the work we do every day to inspire choices that lead to a healthy, equitable, and vibrant community for generations to come!

Become a Sustaining Member today for as little as $5/month and be THE voice for smart growth and sustainability in the Greater Charlotte region! The table below outlines the member benefits you will receive based on your level of support.

*BONUS! All Sustain Charlotte Members receive 10% off when they shop with our bike shop partners! Learn more here.  Also, members receive 10% off a Leaf Burrito!

Become a member at $10/mo or more and we will send you one of these stylish t-shirts!

Your tax-deductible membership donations will help us continue:

  • Educating and inspiring Charlotte area citizens about the choices that lead to a healthier, more equitable, and more vibrant community for generations to come.

  • Providing critical information and opportunities for greater and more diverse citizen engagement in the decisions that shape our region’s long-term sustainability.

  • Building government, business, and grassroots support for public policies and best practices that further social equity, sustainable use of our natural resources, and economic prosperity for all.

  • Bringing together Charlotte’s government, business, nonprofit, and academic leaders to work together towards Charlotte 2030 – the regional sustainability vision we launched in 2010.
