Are you interested in helping make Charlotte a better city for bicycling? Would you like to learn what the City and others are already doing and work with them to achieve this goal?
If you answered yes to either of these questions, we invite you to join us at our Shifting Gears event series! Save these dates for our 2019 events: Wednesdays February 13, May 1, August 14 from 6-8 p.m.
Want to add your voice to the conversation? Join us for this event to get more informed, engage City staff, and meet fellow cycling advocates.
On Wednesday, February 13, Sustain Charlotte will continue our Shifting Gears public action workshops to propel cycling in Charlotte forward by discussing "How Scooters and Bikes are making Charlotte Better". The City recently passed new scooter regulations for both the rider and the vendor. How can we make scootering better and solve the two most common concerns, sidewalk riding and parking?
Explore how you can help prioritize bicycle and scooter infrastructure funding with scooter industry leaders, City staff, and other bicycle and scooter advocates! Let’s make sure our streets are designed for all users, not just cars! Come to network at 6:00 p.m. with the program beginning at 6:30 p.m. and running to 8:00 p.m. Light appetizers will be provided.
WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 13
6:00 - 8:00 P.M.

Tickets are $5 for non-Sustain Charlotte members (donate at least $5/month or $60/year) and free for members. Interested in becoming a member to attend the events for free? Click here.
ABOUT SHIFTING GEARS:
Whether you are interested in biking but haven’t yet started, a weekend warrior, or a daily bike commuter -- everyone has a part to play in helping realize our City’s new vision for bicycling in Charlotte.
Each workshop features a keynote speaker and small group discussions where participants connect with other cycling advocates. The goal of each Shifting Gears workshop is for each participant to leave with one action-item and one community contact to help them along the way!
Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to get more informed, engaged, and make a difference.
