Are you interested in helping make Charlotte a better city for bicycling? Would you like to learn what the City and others are already doing and work with them to achieve this goal?
If you answered yes to either of these questions, we invite you to join us for the next Shifting Gears, Monday, December 3 at Resident Culture!
Join Sustain Charlotte and The Charlotte Department of Transportation at the last Shifting Gears of 2018. Small group breakout sessions will focus on the City’s existing bicycle network, where you are riding today, and where additions and improvements can allow more people to safely connect to bicycle transportation corridors in the short term.
The City’s Active Transportation team will also present an update on the long-term bicycle network map and it’s draft recommendations for bicycle facilities along the major streets within our transportation system.
Want to add your voice to the conversation? Join us for this FREE event to get more informed, engage City staff, and meet fellow cycling advocates. Light appetizers will be provided!
These workshops are free and open to the public, however, registration is required. Please click the button below to register.
MONDAY, DECEMBER 3
5:30 - 7:30 P.M.
RESIDENT CULTURE - 2101 CENTRAL AVE.
Whether you are interested in biking but haven’t yet started, a weekend warrior, or a daily bike commuter -- everyone has a part to play in helping realize our City’s new vision for bicycling in Charlotte.
Missed the first few Shifting Gears? Not a problem! We will review action items from the first event, assess individual progress, and bring new ideas into the mix!
Each workshop features a keynote speaker and small group discussions where participants connect with other cycling advocates. The goal of each Shifting Gears workshop is for each participant to leave with one action-item and one community contact to help them along the way!
Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to get more informed, engaged, and make a difference.
