GROW SMART CLT

We are excited to introduce our new monthly event series, Grow Smart CLT! These fun events will dive into the multiple sustainability issues that Charlotte faces with our rapid growth. Come network and mingle with like-minded Charlotteans while you learn what you can do to make a difference!

Each month we focus on a different issue and bring in experts to discuss how we can grow smarter. The events not only educate, but each will have one clear action item that you can do to make sure Charlotte is on the right path. Events are on the second Wednesday of each month. The next event is June 13th, from 6-8pm at The Barrel Room at Catawba Brewing. Visit growsmartclt.org for dates and tickets.

This unique event shows hundreds of people how easy it is to get around Charlotte without driving! This ticketed event allows attendees to bike around town to fun destinations while collecting stamps in your official Biketoberfest Passport.

The stamps you collect on your passport at official destinations will be entered into a raffle for many fantastic prizes! The more destinations you visit, the more chances you'll have to win! In 2017 we had a record-breaking attendance of over 550.

This event takes place every year in October. For 2018, the event will be on October 14, with a rain date of October 27. Learn more about the event and get details by visiting biketoberfestclt.org.

WALKCLT

Using wayfinding signs, this initiative encourages residents and visitors to walk, rather than drive to destinations in their area. This year #WalkCLT is on Friday, June 1, and is powered by OrthoCarolina. The event was attended by over 350 attendees in 2017 and raised awareness of the role that walking can play as a mode of transportation and the many social, environmental, and economic benefits walking generates for ourselves and our community. Learn more about this event by visiting walkclt.org.
