On a weekly basis, we meet with elected and non-elected community leaders to educate and hear their perspective on cycling. Through our daily social media updates, website, and weekly newsletter, we work to educate residents about Charlotte cycling.
Sustain Charlotte supports and attends the events of partner organizations that teach Charlotte residents to safely ride.

Our friends and Sustain Charlotte Sustainability Transportation Award Winners at Learn to Ride roll by the motto of “It’s never too early (or too late!) to learn to ride a two-wheeler.” Learn to Ride is a not-for-profit, 100% volunteer series of events to grow Charlotte’s cycling community one new cyclist at a time and is made possible in partnership with Bicycle Sport (A Sustain Charlotte Bike Shop Partner) and Trips for Kids Charlotte, with support from Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation, Mecklenburg County Public Health, and Well-Run Media + Marketing.
Geared for young riders who are eager to gain independence, learn new skills and build confidence on their bikes while exploring our amazing city! Riders will learn the essentials of safe riding, bicycle maintenance, and route planning and will be able to practice riding techniques in a safe, supportive environment.
