Charlotte Health and Harmony Fest is Saturday

J’aime Kent, wellness coach and owner of New Life Experiment, a community wellness group and coaching business, will host the first Health and Harmony Fest from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 29 at Area 15, a small business campus at 516 E. 15th St., North Davidson.

This is a free, public event created to celebrate wellness and educate the community on health topics such as mind-body-spirit balance, environmental impact, and farming.

There will be demonstrations such as parenting classes by Echo Parenting and Education certified parent educator Vanessa Walter, chair massages provided by Montse Ferragut of Renew Mind, Body and Spirit, health screenings by Omni Wellness Center and sustainability storytelling by The Big Green Bus, a traveling student advocacy group from Dartmouth College. There will also be a farmers market by Simply Fresh and a viewing of the documentary film about the impact of climate change in the U.S., “Shift: Beyond the Numbers of the Climate Crisis” by Sam and Kate Fulbright.

There will be vendor booths like Healing Hands of Charlotte, the U.S. National Whitewater Center and Integrative Holistic Health.

Sustain Charlotte, a local nonprofit organization that promotes and educates on sustainability practices to improve environmental health, is the beneficiary of the Health and Harmony Fest this year.
