Partner Post by the City of Charlotte
The city is unveiling its draft Charlotte Future 2040 Comprehensive Plan on Saturday, Oct. 31, at a drive-in community meeting and screening of “Back to the Future.” The meeting will take place in the parking lot of the Park Expo, 800 Briar Creek Road, beginning at 2 p.m.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, guests will remain in their cars and be guided to information booths and presentations where they will review and provide feedback on the draft plan. Spanish translation services will be provided.
The meeting will be available in four identical sessions. Guests are asked to arrive up to 30 minutes early for their preferred session and download the Kahoot! mobile app to vote and participate during the meeting.
The same information will be shared at four different sessions. The session times are:
- Session 1 2:00 – 2:45 pm
- Session 2 3:30 – 4:15 pm
- Session 3 5:00 – 5:45 pm
- Session 4 6:30 – 7:15 pm – 9 pm ends with movie
Guests attending the last session are invited to stay for a drive-in screening of “Back to the Future,” in celebration of Charlotte’s bright future.
