And now YOU join the fun, here in Charlotte and wherever you go!

On March 1st, we're launching the Way2Go CLT sustainable transportation challenge. For eight months, thousands of Charlotte area residents and organizations will join forces to reduce vehicle miles traveled by ONE MILLION in 2017!

The more sustainable trips you log, the more chances you'll have to win monthly prizes! Register for now and so you'll be ready to start logging trips and winning prizes on March 1st!

Together, let’s drive 1 million fewer miles in 2017!

Thanks to financial support from NCDOT and Kimley-Horn, we’re able to bring this initiative and customized platform to you at no cost!

Help improve economic conditions for the Greater Charlotte Region!

Sustain Charlotte is serving on the Advisory Committee for the update process of our region's Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS). This tool will help us capitalize on our strengths and work to overcome our weaknesses, creating a more viable and prosperous region.

Your input on a regional survey will deepen our understanding about what is most important to local residents and business owners in Anson, Cabarrus, Gaston, Iredell, Lincoln, Mecklenburg, Rowan, Stanly, and Union Counties and the region as a whole.

Click here to take the survey, and please share it with others throughout the region.

Open Streets 704 Returns in May with a New Route [Charlotte Five]

"Ready to take to the streets? The next Open Streets 704 event is scheduled for 1-5 p.m. May 7. The event aims to show people that roads are for more than just cars. The streets will be closed to vehicular traffic but open to people walking, biking, jogging, dancing, or doing just about anything else. The event in May will be the third, and the first two drew more than 25,000 people. The Knight Foundation initially provided funding for four events over two years, but a new presenting sponsorship by Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina “puts Open Streets 704 on the path to continue beyond the two years,” according to a post on the event’s website." We're excited to be part of this epic series of events that return the streets to ALL people!
