Internships

Interns

For students, the benefits of an internship with Sustain Charlotte include gaining job experience, finding a mentor, preparing for future employment, and building transferable skills. Internships also allow students to apply theoretical knowledge in the real world, explore their career interests, and build confidence.

At Sustain Charlotte, interns are invited to engage in many tasks and projects under the supervision and guidance of an experienced team member. Here are some of the responsibilities our interns have, depending on the role:

  • Research: Conducting research for new projects or to learn more about what similar organizations are doing
  • Data-related tasks: Compiling statistics, benchmarks, and data hygiene projects
  • Administrative duties: Performing clerical tasks, creating presentations, and managing social media and emails
  • Event management: Assisting in the scheduling and preparation of events
  • Assisting and contributing to the team: Supporting various team activities and taking on increasing responsibilities
  • Job shadowing: Observing and learning from experienced employees

Past interns have made significant contributions to our organization. Get a glimpse of their work on the Navigate Charlotte Without Driving page
