Join us for an informal and fun evening of conversation and networking! Our Monthly Mixers provide an opportunity to learn more about us, our partners, and meet others interested in local sustainability issues.

We are excited to announce that our January 10th Mixer will be held at Resident Culture Brewing in Plaza Midwood! Resident Culture will be selecting a special beer that will benefit Sustain Charlotte.  For each special beer purchased on January 10th, one dollar will be donated back to Sustain Charlotte.  This month's Mixer will focus on waste reduction.  Hear from Charlotte resident inventor of Leaf Burrito Marc Mataya and Damon Barron owner of Treecycle. 

Marc will be speaking about his new product, the Leaf Burrito, that will help dramatically change our beautiful streets. Leaf Burrito is a Sustain Charlotte partner and also the winner of the Sustain Charlotte 2017 Waste Reduction Award!  His produce makes the collection and transportation of yard debris incredibly FAST, EASY, SAFE and MANAGEABLE! The City of Charlotte Solid Waste Services has approved this product and will empty the burrito and leave it in your yard just like other reusable waste receptacles. His ultimate goal is to revolutionize yard waste management across the country.
