To have fun getting around the city without driving and to support Sustain Charlotte as your community advocate for biking in the Charlotte metro area!

Experience two protected bike lane demonstration projects!  The first will connect the Irwin Creek and Stewart Creek Greenways along 5th and 6th Street in Uptown —  this is the connection that we’ve been advocating for via our #IBIKECLT campaign since March of 2016!  The second demonstration will run along Mint Street from the Panthers Stadium into the Gold District.

Want to help with the protected bike lane demonstration?  We are looking for volunteers to help with painting the street, planting flowers, and bringing tactical urbanism to Uptown!  Volunteers get a free ticket to Biketoberfest and event t-shirt!  Sign up here!

Children under age 18 may participate for free if accompanied by a paying (registered) parent or guardian.

All proceeds will benefit Sustain Charlotte and our Bicycle Program!

    November Monthly Mixer!

    View_from_Doubletop.png

Join us for our November monthly Mixer on Wednesday, November 8th!  Hear from Program Director Andrew Goldberg how the Appalachian Woodlands Alliance, including the Charlotte area’s own Domtar a founding member and Sustain Charlotte Partner,  is working to advance sustainable forest management of the private woodlands in western North Carolina and the rest of the southern and central Appalachians.

    RegisterNow2-01.png
In a region where individual woodland owners provide critical habitat that supports our globally significant conservation values, the progressive forest products industry is developing new ways to engage and support better forestry while expanding access to critical wood supplies for an industry which remains an economic force across the rural Appalachians. Also, learn how a business' corporate sustainable procurement policies drive improvements in environmental performance where it matters most: in the woods.

Join us on November 8th to hear more!

    Schedule:

    - 6:00: Check-in and networking.
    - 6:45: Presentation from featured speaker: Andrew Goldberg
